*squints* The good news is, I no longer feel like death warmed over. Unfortunately, it is now 2 AM, and I'm not ready for school, nor tired enough to go back to sleep.

[livejournal.com profile] coleman_genie and I hiked about 7 KM yesterday at Spruce Woods. I hate stairs. And sand dunes. And Karen going "oooh, snake!" while behind me. And sunburns, dehydration, heat stroke and backpacks.

However, squirrels are funny in that their entire vocabulary seems to consist of "omgwtf!", and the Devil's Punchbowl is sadly not the gate to hell, but apond resulting from an aquifer. And wow- I really did hike that thing with the sand dunes. It was funny singing the marching tune from "Bridge over the River Kwai", and wow. I mean, I knew we had desertish conditions in Manitoba there, but it really did have a LAwrence of Arabia feeling to it- also, my people were definitely not desert people. Give me a good sturdy prairie or forested area any time over that.

I'll upload pictures from it eventually.

I watched Rome, and all I can say is "nnngh". Loff.

Anthro girls: George Dr. Fulford says hi.

I need to transcribe the rest of my tapes ASAP. Shite. And I still haven'te redone my course outline, and I haven't paid for university yet, or bought my books for History of the English Language.

1 phonecall later, and we've worked out a tentative schedule for joint custody of the transcribing machine. Yaye!

I watched House, and man. I severely dislike Dr. Cameron. So. Damn. Much.

*drumroll* Birthday party! October 14th. Dinner most likely at George's again, and then back to my place for movies and chatting. And drinking. And possibly sleeping over, unless I have curling the next day.

I just realized that giving gifts is much like paying tribute in the sense of not really. This isn't realated to the abovewell, only a bit.

I'm overtired and still have work to do. Gaaaaah.

Class tomorrow with ze Polish vampyre. Feel ze passion! We do ze tango!

*falls over ded*

[livejournal.com profile] j_daffodil, I got your emailoops, postcard. Thank you darling! Oh, Oxford.

Hee, my cat is all pissed because I fixed it so she cannot go into the closet and ruin my clothes. But she keeps trying, and getting more and more frustrated.

I want tea. I shall go get some. Mmm.
