My Chemical Romance- Famous Last Words I love this song and video. Oh crispy Bob, how are you so awesome?

I've spent most of tonight knittiing- I spent most of yesterday knitting too. And I'm almost at the end of the second hank of yarn (of possibly four). I also went over to the craft store where I picked up some more SWS for my cousin's Clapotis, and a t-shirt (for 2,50$) and some red embroidery thread. I have a plan for a t-shit design I want to make, embroidering lady bugs onto the t-shirt. Possibly cheesy, but if it actually works like I imagine? Will be awesome.

I had thought about writing something up about cleaning out the house and putting everything into boxes and how it's not really helping my mental state at all right now, but it was just going to be too depressing, so. I'm focussing on the bright side- once everything's done, I'll be able to decorate the way I want.

This is probably my favourite My Chemical Romance performance I've seen (Helena- MTV $2 Bill Show)

Mom and I went together tonight to donate blood; for those who haven't gone in a while, there are some new questions/procedures. The first is that there is now a splatter guard for when the nurses check your blood for iron. The second is that there's a new question, in your line of work, do you handle monkey fluids?

No joke.

Afterwards we headed over to Grant Park for my knit night. I did two rows of my shawl and then would about 3000 yards of lace/fingering weight yarn. I love winding yarn so much, it fills me with glee.

Also, here's a true story: we were leaving the Blood Services building and some of the nurses were standing around talking to one of their younger male volunteers. Just as we were going out the doors I heard one of the nurses say "But what is emo? What does it look like?" I turned back and smiled and laughed a bit, and the guy grinned at me and rolled his eyes a little bit (giving the impression that he's had to explain this to them before.) Anyway, mom and I get to the car, and she asked me what was so funny, so I tried to explain about emo.

Mom thought they had been trying to say Elmo, or something. N'aww.

Okay, so three times in a row my mom asked mewhat the name od the band was when I was watching "The Take Over, The Breaks Over".

I might be getting a Fall Out Boy cd for my birthday. Oh mom. "That dog is so cute!"

Also, we've finally decided on our new flooring- hopefully, the painting and flooring will be done by Thanksgiving aka- my birthday. Woot. (Probably not though, or at least the painting or something) but still. Progress is being made!

Also, I got an early birthday present today: Prairie Girls Move Mountains. It's kinda big, and I really would prefer it to be a zip-up hoodie, but apparently when they tried to sell those before, they didn't do well. Bah. I was going to get it in the t-shirt, but almost all of their t-shirts have cap sleeves and that's just not a good look for me.

Also of note, I started knitting the second hank of Ram Wools Selkirk into my Wool Peddler's Shawl.

Okay, so I didn't post this last night like I meant to, but now I have something else to add: I totally just woke up from a dream where Mikey Way, Bob Bryar and Frank Iero were curlers. Possibly Gerard too, but I only saw them because it was on youtube that somebody had linked to in a curling community on livejournal, showing how to get your players to make shots they don't think that they can (Mikey had to be talked into doing a double take out or something.)

Seriously, it felt so real that at first I was going to actually check to see if there was a youtube video of it. *sigh* So, yeah. First curling meeting is tomorrow night, and I just may be skipping again this year.

Severe winter weather has snowed you in. You had to resort to cannibalism before finally dying of hunger. You lose!

Well, at least Shannon didn't die of cholera (but it was touch and go there for a while.)

Westward Trail

ps. I've kind of fallen headfirst into bandom. Oh, Bob.
