I have my tea, favourite pajama pants and a goal- finish two tapes today. Rawr, I can do this.

Cooking question: while I realize that I'm free to do whatever, in this recipe do you think it would be all right to substitue the ground ginger for allspice? Shockingly, we have no ginger.

Meh. I can't see allspice instead of ginger being the that big of a deal.

Also, I kind of want to make myself a Ravenclaw icon. Hmm. This is based both on the poll and the realization that no matter how much I want to be a Slytherin, I'm just too much of a Ravenclaw.

Feel like an ass for forgetting my weekly Vietnames dinner date with

numensule. Will make it up later in week, promise. Tonight, mom and I dine on salmon, rice, asparagus and allspice flavoured glazed carrots, apparently.

Gah. Finally worked up the courage to call this professor about possibly staying with his family while in Thompson, and he's not there. He'll call back later, apparently.

I wish I was more comfortable talking to strangers on the phone. I seriously spent the last three hours psyching myself up to call him.

Made chicken egg noodle alfredo, but the alfredo was from a mix, and ended up being like pste. Yecch. And I used up the lst of the really delicious chicken on it too.

Watched Desperate Housewives. Was intrigued. Have read TWoP recaps of the first five episodes. Baked scones, had a possible allergic reaction while baking (ithcy and red-splotched hands). Yucky scones- will probably end up tossing them.

Talked to mom. Felt lonely. And I'm staying up really late for some reason.

I really should try to get some sleep.
