I really, really don't think that's important for the seminar next week, but I want to at least have read all of this 50 page article. Feh. I now have hot chocolate, and will not be defeated. Until I go to band, that is.
I'm holing up in the library and computer labs tomorrow afternoon and getting started on this (as well as the group presentation on "Blues Spiritual for Mammy Prater" and oooh! I just got an awesome idea for what I'd like to do for my part of the presentation: how do photographs provide a narrative? I mean this is a poem about a photograph of an ex-slave. Maybe I could find photographs or paintings that really suggest a narrative and then discuss how that is done? Or maybe instead discuss how often poems need to be performed to really get the full impact. Hmm.)
