Stylistics is driving me batty. Syntax is driving me batty- after spending the majority of the day counting phonems, I finally finished the phonology section and have proceeded to Syntax. I'm slowly going crazy. Not sure how I'm going to get all of this done for Monday. I still have the rest of syntax to do, semology, cohesion and rhetoric, as well as doing a conclusion to tie everything together. My paper is already 10 pages, and I have about 20 or so pages of data (with about another 30 expected).
My eyes/hands/brain hurts.
ETA: I've made an executive decision: I will do cohesion last, and, if I have no time, I may omit it altogether (making the small note that I did not think that the filmic qualities which I'm studying were encoded in any significant way in the cohesion/coherence).
This is because cohesion is my weakest point, and, as I said, it really has no major signifigance for what I'm doing.
Screw getting full marks- I want to make sure that I actually get this in, and pass the course.
