So I've spent pretty much the entire day reading House of Leaves And I'm getting a little twitchy. Also, I really should have spent today working on my cohesion project, or something other than this.

That book has the potential to destroy nerves for unfortunately extended periods of time.

They just pulled Reston up the staircase, and the rope snapped. My heart stopped for a second.

I plan on studying a section of this for my stylistics class to study how he creates some of these effects. I'm thinking maybe I'll look at the early examination of the 5 1/2 Minute Hallway, to look at how direction and space is encoded. Maybe something later on, where there's all of the really interesting graphological stuff going on.

If you do read it, I very much suggest that you have something going on in the background that can help keep you grounded, at least for the first part.

I started reading it about a month ago, and ended up freaking out over one description. I've only come back to the book today, and I've just been devouring it. I really need to stop and get some work done.

I think I may really dig this book.

*puts on the ever long 'to read' list*

why do we have to go to school? I have things to read damnit!

I may be studying this book for school, so that is my excuse for why I've been reading it all day and not doing schoolwork.

sounds to me like you're procrastinating young lady.

I would never do such a thing.
