I've been awake for 3 and a half hours already. Ack. And I got a bent staple lodged in my foot (mom took it out without too much laughing), the printer in the library was down and I seriously need some caffeine.

But I watched clips of the Daily Show this morning, and somehow that makes a lot of it all better. Also, knowing I'm doing something with friends tonight (but Bon Cop Bad Cop is no longer playing, boo!) and that after 10:30 I'll only have one massive project hanging over my head instead of three.

And really that makes almost everything better.

(Also, the fact that I'm almost done knitting mom's hat, and on the bus I came up with an awesome idea for a fundraiser that I'd like to develop more. Hint, it involves knitting.)

I am so conflicted in the knitting of this hat (I've given up trying to hide knitting it around mom. "What's that?" "A hat." "Oh! It looks nice." Heh.) But yes, conflicted. I'm at the point where the Yarn Harlot says to begin decreasing, and yet it still looks small. Maybe I'm just used to the industrial strength toques we're used to wearing in Winnipeg or something, but it just seems too small. Hmm.

Another problem is that I'm coming to the end of the skein. I guess I can go buy more (although I doubt it would be the same dyelot), and since it would only be a little bit at the top of the hat, it wouldn't matter too much, but still. Bleh. However, a short hat is annoying while a hat that is too long can always have the rim folded up to be doubly warm around the ears.

Presentation went well; only problem was that the others kind of rambled on at some point and to try and compensate I made my stuff pretty brief (but not overly rushed) and we were still going long. But, the teacher really liked it and in fact made no bones about the fact that she stole our (my) first discussion question (that we never got to because of the time thing) for the weekly response that we have to write.

So, at the moment for English1A I'm feeling like I'm all kinds of win. *dance* Now if only that could apply to my other classes as well.
