So, I was searching for lyrics to a Duotang song when I found an old interview with Rod Slaughter, and yeah.

"Winnipeg, and I get a feeling Montreal's like this too, is the kind of place where, if you want to be a socialite, you move to Vancouver. If you want to make it in the entertainment industry, you go to Toronto. For business, you move to Calgary. If you just don't know what the fuck to do, but you'll make up your mind next week, you stay in Winnipeg."

Hee. Took a break from transcribing to head over to Michael's and take advantage of the 50% off coupon and the sale (everyone there: "OMG it's only three and a half more months until the holidays!!! I must stock up now!!!" I include myself in this, and am most sincerely not mocking. Well, maybe a little bit.)

I bought more SWS in case I ran out while making someon's birthday present, bought boxes for birthday presents, bought birthday presents (thank goodness for 50% off, btw) and bought Christmas present stash.

Gift giving stash is the only novelty yarn stash I will ever buy from now on. And dude, seriously. This yarn is called Matrix in the copperwire colourway, and Boa in Phoenix.

The Boa yarn is to make my CIL a buttonhole scarf- I feel bad, downgrading her gift from the Frill shawl to a felted bag to this. But I plan on giving her a Black Pearl bath bomb, a movie GC and a gift card to Starbucks. Of course half the gift she can only enjoy when she comes into the city... hmm. But she'll enjoy herself while she's here, that's the important thing.

Mmm, Starbucks. I had a Vanilla Latte with [livejournal.com profile] ananasananas last night while watching Walk the Line with her and mom. I always forget how much I enjoy lattes.

I rode my bike over there- have I mentioned that I love my bike? Because I really, really do. :)
