prairiedaun May. 22nd, 2009 11:40 pm)Man, you guys, the new WECC is awesome. There's a mezzanine! And fantastic women's bathrooms! And stairs and wheel-chair accessability! and a cool ante room and an awesome amount of space around the bar! and the hall itself seems quite awesome!

alaira and I were involved in possibly the first beer spill. We weren't the culprits- someone on the mezzanine spilled their beer and it fell on us- well, on Hilary. Almost on me. I don't know if they'd really been anticipating that when they'd put the mezzanine up, but it will probably happen more than the once, so in the futere, my peeps, if you're at a WECC show, make sure you're not standing/sitting in the upper level's spill zone.

We saw the Magnificent Sevens who were wonderful and adorable. Seriously, most adorable mandolin player in the world, I just wanted to ruffle his hair and pinch his cheeks. And their guitarist/singer (well, frontman-ish guy) kept getting all verklempt about the WECC and just was an adorable woobie.
Also, you guys, they have this song. Check out their myspace page and you might be able to guess which song I'm barely able to talk about. YEAH.
Also! Not really going into it here, but we had a total WRONG AIRPORT moment. which was hilarious.
Also also! we had a hilarious time finding a place to eat. Soma was closed, so we walked to the Lo pub, but the restaurant was closed for renovations, so we walked further to Edohei, but it would have taken too long to get our food so we walked all the way back to the Ellice Cafe which was awesome but took quite a while (probably because we were there 1/2 hour before closing) and then when we got to the show... there was food set out for snacking. :| Well, we had fun, at least.
