A few hours ago I had something important I wanted to say. Since then I've gorged myself on Chinese food and stories from my mom's cousin and friend. So much fun. And so, this is pretty much all I'm capable of at the moment.

Harry Potter!

That's the only one I can think of that we share. (I could list off a bunch of fandoms I know you like, but I wouldn't be able to understand your answers!)

1. Harry. From the first book I loved this little kid who was given an escape from his terrible life, and all of the heroic responsibility that people seemed to thrust upon him and the way that he tried to deal with all of it.

2. Cedric Diggory. At first I was all "oh yeah, the golden boy sent to the slaughter" but now I'm getting a deeper respect for him and all Hufflepuffs in general.

3. Ron. He's jealous and mean, and while I can understand his motivations, most of the time I want to tell him to get over both it and himself.

4. Voldemort. Not so much love, as want to get a deeper understanding for his motivations and all.

5. Sirius. I used to think he was cool and all, but now I'm just struck by how reckless and thoughtless he can be.

6. Remus Lupin. *ahem*

7. Cedric Diggory. Except for the being dead bit.

8. Pansy Parkinson. Get your head on straight, girl. You're feulling the sycophantic harpy-woman stereotype.

9. Erm. Mostly when written by [livejournal.com profile] hackthis, Longbottom/Knott or Krum/Diggory. Otherwise, Snape/Lupin. *cough*

10. Harry/Draco. Done to death, and in most cases done badly.

I knew I'd rub off on you eventually! ;)

Snape/Lupin

Really?!? I don't think I've ever come across that one!

Again, the Hufflepuff thing is mostly due to [livejournal.com profile] hackthis's influence, from the Krum/Diggory fic.

And here I thought it was just my incredibly wonderful presence that would turn you over to the kind-hearted side. :p

I'm not really into the fanfic scene. I write drabbles from time to time and don't get out of [livejournal.com profile] hp100 much. And I don't think I've ever come across that pairing over there. Pretty much every other imaginable pairing, but never that one!

Hornblower!

(we really ought to get together and do that before this lovely vacation is over)

From: [identity profile] prairiedaun.livejournal.com

1. Clayton. I must admit, for a while I was a little iffy on Hornblower himself, but I loved Clayton from the get-go. *tear*

2. Bush. Totally.

3. Erm. It;s not that I don't like him, but I don't seem to have the same overwhelming love for Kennedy as most of [livejournal.com profile] article_xix does. But I still love him to pieces.

4. Once again, the group of people I hang out with in this fandom seem to follow the same stream, but I guess I'm a bit more fond of Clayton and Wellard than some other fen.

5. None.

6. Bush. Rwar. And Orrock, even though he's not all that present.

7. Bush. Um. Read nothing into that. Or else Kitty Cobham.

8. Momma Mason. So manipulative.

9. Bush/Edrington. Don't ask why. And yeah, for all I talk about wanting pairings based on canon in some form... think about it!

10. Despise is a harsh word, but I'd go with Pellew/Hornblower. There's too much of a power/need to please/father-son relationship there to get around (even for me).
