My job: I'm transcribing tapes for a study on the acquisition of Cree, and the effects it's having on families. I get to stay at home and type (in my pajamas) and I think I'm being overpaid to do so, but I'm not going to tell them that. :)

It's rough hearing people talking about the effects that residential schools had on their families. I 've only done one tape so far- apparently it gets worse on one of the tapes. I'm a little worried about getting to the really rough stuff.

At least his will keep me busy and out of trouble. And hopefully pay for school. :)

I went through a similar process when I transcribed Louis's tapes on his experiences on residential schooling. It's very enlightening, and it won't get "better" with time. It's rough work, but worth it.

I always thought I was overpaid to do it too, but it is stressful at times, especially when the material is so sensitive and personal.
