I'm rereading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and the twins have just taken off on their broomsticks, which is one of my highlights from the entire series.
OotP is my least favourite book of the series. Whenever I reread them all, I cringe when I get to this one because there's just so much dark material here and so much that could be avoided if the characters simply talked to one another.
Also, while recognizing that Rowling is trying to pack in a lot of information that we're going to need over the next two books, I wish this book wasn't so damn long. That, combined with the darkness makes it my least favourite- if it were upbeat and optimistic I wouldn't mind it being so damn long. As it is you have one bad thing after another.
And ALL CAPS TEENAGED ANGST HARRY just gets on my nerves so damned much. Arrgh.

Exactly. I think that's why I read OofP and was confused at the end.
