One of the worst sounds in existence has to be the suction sound a cat makes while licking its butt.
*shudder*
Yesterday was very busy when I didn't want it to be. My aunt Debbie came over for a visit, and I ended up selling her a lot of my candles, and then she took mom and I over to the mall to see the cars that were for sale there. Then mom and I went for lunch and then went grocery shopping (having to carry everything back home while walking sure cut down on the impulse purchases). Of course mom wasn't wearing good shoes and can't really walk long distances anyway so by the last threeblocks she had her sandals off and moving pretty slowly; I love my mom dearly, but this is sort of the warning to me to really take care of my health and fitness.
Also yesterday I was reading something over on
ohnotheydidnt about the new supernatural shows on network tv this year (New Amsterdam! In January!) and OH MY GOD, PEOPLE! Buffy and Angel are not the be all and end all of all supernatural television shows. Yes, your favourite shows have gone off the air! Deal with it! Don't go slagging new shows simply out of bitterness. Sheesh. /vent
I have spent most of today reading The Queen's Fool, by Philippa Gregory. I'm enjoying it quite a bit, but at the same time it's very depressing. Oh historical fiction.
