(no subject)

What I want to knit:

a ribbed zippered cardigan done in patons classic merino chestnut brown and rosewood. The rosewood would be on the botton 6 inches orso of the sleeves and body. It would also have a higher neck, longish sleeves (hitting the base of my thumb, at least) and a few inches past my hips.

I have a pretty clear idea in my head what I want this to look like. I'm going to have to do some swatches and look into some construction information, but it seems easy enough to do. (Famous last words...)

(The wedgewood colourway would probably coordinate better with what I own already, but I'm going through a pink phase. I know, I don't believe it either...)

I went out to the country to see my gramma for the first time (nearly 4 weeks) since she got out of the hospital. At the Towers where she lives they were celebrating all of the March birthdays, and gramma turned 88 on the 18th.

Even though she's in a wheelchair, she's looking pretty good. She was really glad to see me, mom and my aunt. There was cake and an accordion player. "Let me know if there are any songs you'd like me to play!" "Do 'Baby Got Back!" "Corie! Stop that!" Good times.

Tonight I bought yellow/white striped yarn and cast on for the last baby blanket, and watched Children of Men with mom. Now I'm cleaning up, preparing for friends coming over tomorrow night.

There are a lot of things that I should be doing, but I'm not. *sigh*
