Things to do:

-NSTP report (250-500 words)
-Annotated bibliography for directed readings
-paper on annotated bibliography
-paper on ethnography (?)
-HoEL paper on swear words (draft Nov. 18th)
-tests, etc.

It's manageable, I just have to get off my ass to actually do it. Okay, I'm going to do it now.

Erm. I actually think I may go to sleep instead, and get a bright and early start tomorrow. Yes. Oh god, I'm having horrible flashbacks to the last time I had a schedule as lax as this, and I nearly failed everything then too. *facepalm* I got two marks back for contemporary Linguistic theory, an A on my paper, and a C on my seminar. Oy. So, I'll probably get another B in that class, a B+ if she decides she likes me on the exam.

Books to find: The Lover's Tongue (can't find my copy), Insulting English, Four-letter word games: the psychology of obscenity, Wicked words : a treasury of curses, insults, put-downs, and other formerly unprintable terms from Anglo-Saxon times to the present, Expletive deleted : a good look at bad language

Must remember: focus on history and etymology. DOn't be sidetracked by psycholinguistics or other fun stuff.

Tomorrow I go to the new library and geek out. Oh, and take back overdue books. But mostly? Geek out.

ETA: Library opens at ten AM. Be there, self. Or no Lost for you, only sad sad annotated bibliographies.

Hrm. Maybe I should do that anyway.

ETA2: So apparently, Kirsten Scott Thomas left her husband for Tobias Menzies. I am both shocked and strangely pleased, but mostly I'm left wondering why I even care.
