One glance at a book and you hear the voice of another person, perhaps someone dead for 1,000 years. To read is to voyage through time. -Carl Sagan, astronomer and writer (1934-1996)

Yeah. Talked to [livejournal.com profile] pyroclasticgrub, had on my Jeff Buckley DVD as background noise, mom comes home with my aunt and cousin. They put in a movie, taking out my goodluck, studying background music.

And they were mocking it. Mocking Jeff Buckley.

I'm so frustrated I'm crying. I'm frustrated because this class is harder than it has any right to be, we were told to read 2 chapters for the exame that we never discussed in class, one of the chapters we were told to read was the wrong one, the exam is on fucking Easter Monday and I have family things tonight (grr) and tomorrow and I'm expected to be there.

I'm going to tell my mom I can't go tomorrow. It's just to much and I can't deal with it right now.

Don't cry...

It's just an exam in the long run. If you want to spend time with your family, if you think it's more important to you, then do that...Like Jenn says, that's what you'll remember.

And yes, even though people don't think it, when they mock your favourite artists it hurts. I don't know why, it just does. My dad doesn't like Traffic, and it bugs me that he has to tell me this everytime I play it.

And yes, I also don't like it when my mood gets broken up by movies or interruptions. It kind of makes it hard to get back into the studying mindframe.

Sorry that your night is sucking...

Thanks. I feel a bit better now that I've eaten something. And thanks for listening earlier.

I'm going to skip tomorrow. Yes, memories, blah blah blah, but they're the same memories every year, and I'm going out to visit my gramma for a while after school so really. Not missing much. And I've worked so damn hard this term, I don't want to fuck it up now.

Fair enough. I know how you feel, I'm not really fond of visiting with the nuns who can't remember our names and give us old lady hugs. The food there isn't all that great either...

Good luck with everything! Although I agree with Monique's quoting of me, I think you'll benefit in the long run by studying. You have done well, like you said, and unless this is a once-in-a-lifetime, see-relatives-you-haven't-seen-in-eons dinner, you'll be able to see everyone later. There will be other memories & other dinners and you don't want to resent anyone in the long run because you didn't do so well on your exams. And you'd probably be spending too much time thinking about the week instead of enjoying yourself. Don't really know why I'm telling you things you already know, but just wanted to let you know I'm keeping my fingers crossed for great marks across the board for you! Good luck! After your exams we will do something fun.
