Just got home from the Neil Gaiman reading/signing. Yeah,
coleman_genie and I got out of there at 12:45. The whole evening was fun, but. We were there pretty early to line up, and even earlier for admission tickets. I know they had their reasons for numbering for the signing the way they did, but it was six hours of waiting in line. Hell, it was four hours of waiting before even getting in line. :(
I was so tired and frazzled by the time I got up there I couldn't really say anything for fear of it being gibberish and motts-inducing. My fault, but still. :(
But hey, I got to hear Neil in person telling stories and talk (sort of) to him. And spent several hours with Karen, Andrea, and pretty much everyone else ever from Winnipeg.

It was a good event, but they could have handled the signing line a little better. I was there at 9 am to grab a ticket, which, personally, I think should have got me primo signing queue status. Or, numbers handed out to people who were in line waiting for them to reopen the store for the event.
I got out of there around midnight. 6 am came waaaaaaay too early.
It wasn't the SMARTEST thing for me to do the night before
