Just got home from the Neil Gaiman reading/signing. Yeah, coleman_genie and I got out of there at 12:45. The whole evening was fun, but. We were there pretty early to line up, and even earlier for admission tickets. I know they had their reasons for numbering for the signing the way they did, but it was six hours of waiting in line. Hell, it was four hours of waiting before even getting in line. :(

I was so tired and frazzled by the time I got up there I couldn't really say anything for fear of it being gibberish and motts-inducing. My fault, but still. :(

But hey, I got to hear Neil in person telling stories and talk (sort of) to him. And spent several hours with Karen, Andrea, and pretty much everyone else ever from Winnipeg.

I'm so sorry I didn't say goodbye to you and Karen last night! I was still sort of swimming after having A CONVERSATION WITH NEIL GAIMAN! OMG.

I thought I saw you last night! Didn't say Hi because you had already gone out of earshot when it actually triggered in my brain it was you (and I thought you were walking away after already being signed).

It was a good event, but they could have handled the signing line a little better. I was there at 9 am to grab a ticket, which, personally, I think should have got me primo signing queue status. Or, numbers handed out to people who were in line waiting for them to reopen the store for the event.

I got out of there around midnight. 6 am came waaaaaaay too early.

Sorry you got out of there so late! Thank you again soooo much for getting us tickets & a place in line. (I feel really guilty that we ended up getting out of there hours before you!) It was really good to see you & I'm really looking forward to seeing you again over the holidays. I will buy you a big coffee. Or something stronger. :)
