Harper and MacKay have to get over themselves. Yes, the minority government will soon come to an end, but using tomorrow's procedural vote and calling it a confidence vote? Arrgh.
And MacKay being interviewed on the CBC, saying that if the Liberals ignore the vote we'll see what happened in the Ukraine, with "people in orange sashes on the front lawn." Dude.
(Talking to my mom I originally said most, but I must amend this) A good deal of Canadians don't even understand the significance of a minority government as opposed to a majority government, never mind the distinction between a procedural and confidence vote. And I'd say an even greater number of those who do understand the difference aren't necessarily the type to go around protesting the government (even if they are dissatisfied with it). That was just fear-mongering.
