Actualfax: when my boss Marlene talked to my mom about hiring me to do the filing and the thinning and such, she said "she's so organized!" and my mom pulled a "...her?"
Moar actualfax: I totally rocked the filing today. I got files 17000 to 21000 in order after being thinned down, and have a strategy for going after files 0-16999. Also, I've recovered from the embarassment of yesterday when the box I was using to transport the files fell apart while I was halfway up the stairs. Thankfully, the files didn't lose their pages or anything but it was still pretty bad.
Other things from yesterday: needed to get my timesheet signed. My boss is gone for at least another week and the person who was supposed to sign it instead of her went on vacation too. I spent way to much time running around trying to find someone to sign the damn thing, but I did (and dude. If I was excited about getting my paycheck for the 9 hours I worked my first two days, I'm really looking forward to getting paid for about 50 hours next week. !!! I'll be able to pay for the retreat (and fiber purchases) at the end of September. :D
Looking forward to listening to podcasts tonight and putting in some good time on my Milo sock, although I may reread parts of the amazing fic I read last night, Keeping Time. The third season og Doctor Who, retold with Spencer Smith as the companion. Fun!
