(no subject)

warning to people I've hung out with in the past few days (although I probably got it from one of you, for which I am disgruntled):

I started coughing last night and now have a sore throat and funny ear thing. I've probably been really contagious the last few days or something. of course, these are the days that, when you look at my life the past few months, I've been the most social. so I'm a little cranky right now.

also, this would be the perfect time to just curl up under a quilt with tea, watch the planet earth dvds I borrowed of of ananasananas and start my hoodie, except I can't because I don't have the freaking right size of needle. boourns.

(no subject)

After that last post I realized that I had a size 6 needle in a shawl that I was going to frog anyway, so out it went and I cast on for the back of my cabled hoodie. I made the ribbing a bit shorter, and I'm already a few rows in on the cable pattern.

I got about 8 hours of knitting in (I KNOW) while watching the first 8 episodes of Planet Earth. I have to admit, I really love nature documentaries. I don't watch them all the time, but I get ridiculously invested in them. It's really hard to count 126 stitches when you're hoping the elephant doesn't get eaten by lions. (It did. Mom was horrified.)

Also, I have a new nightmare situation: getting stuck in a crevasse while doing underwater cave exploration. Seriously, this will never happen to me since a) I don't dive, and b)claustrophobic so I'm not going cave exploring anyway, but getting stuck underwater with air running out is my new worst nightmare, I think. AUGH.

Still sick. I've run a fever all day- my throat feels a little better, but I know it'll be worse when I wake up tomorrow morning. Ick.
