Mom's not feeling well, so we ended up not going out to see gramma for her birthday. Next week, then.

More curling craziness: I'm having a really hard time watching the final of the Canada Cup, because the Ferbey team is... raising money for a fundraiser by growing out their hair, or something. I missed the explanation, and mom was confused. ETA: Shave Team Ferbey for the Alberta Cancer Foundation

Marcel Rocque looks like your typical Canadian dude, Dave Nedohin looks like a refugee from the 80s, and Randy Ferbey just looks fuzzier. But Scott Pfeiffer? Oh Scott Pfeiffer. He looks so... muskritty. Remember when Orlando Bloom had the longer curly hair going? Hee.

Team Martin however remains team Marting, and John Morris is still really, really ridiculouslu good looking. *ahem*

I love this game, even if I am ridiculously bad at it. I've played it several times now, and never been close on Delaware. But I'm getting much better. :)

My body is slowly falling apart, one piece at a time. This should be the sign that I need to (desperately) take better care of myself and get healthy, but mostly it just makes me want to curl up in a ball and weep. *sigh*

*facepalm* I just bent one of my brand new size zero sock needles. Like, bent it 45 degrees.

I was sitting on the floor in the living room, casting on for my new handwarmers when I decided to go upstairs. The needle was caught in the shag carpet and my baggy pajama pants and... somehow bent and ended up half embedded under the carpet. Now it is mocking me with its bendiness.

And this is why I can't have nice things.

There's no such thing as bad language. I don't believe that, it's ridiculous. They call it debasing of the language, no. We are adults. These are the words that we use to express frustration, rage, anger, in order that we don''t pick up a tire iron and beat the shit out of someone. -Lewis Black

I want to iconise that somehow.

re: Test the Nation
At the start of it I told mom "How the hell do they expect me to take an intelligence test when two of their celebrities are Shaun Majumder and Zaib Shaikh?" Really, I just wanted to stare at the pretty but in the end I did okay.

Mom and I are both above average, apparently. I am more above average, though ("I would hope so after all the schooling you've gotten.")

Anybody else take the test? I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours. Also, [livejournal.com profile] coleman_genie, you'll be glad to know that I actually kicked some ass in the math section, which surprised me quite a bit.
