I feel like I'm spending more time comlaining about this project than actually working on it.
One of the problems is that in this one book that I'm using to describe the dialects, each one is written up by a different person, so it's difficult to compare them, since what's significant to one might not be to another. Another problem is that each description of a dialect is based on analysis of one text... and that is just totally wrong (if only because they're often poetry, or official documents and don't give an "accurate" portrayal of everyday Middle English, as if we can totally for sure know what that is like.)
I'm probably staying up most of tonight to finish this once and for all- I'm worried that it's not going to be that good, but... I really, really don't want to disappoint The Professor any further. Also, I have an annotated bibliography due on Wednesday that's supposed to be about 20-25 sources, on Cree and Linguistic relativity. Frak.
ETA: DONE!!!
Now, to go to sleep now, or start sketching out ideas for annotated bib. Hmm.
