*flails* I just had the best idea ever. I may need some help though- of my RL friends, does anyone know where the closest tree lot is? And would any of you be willing to help me carry a tree home (or help me find access to a car)?

If I have to, I will drag it home myself. I am determined to have a tree set up and decorated before mom gets home.

Why yes, I did just wake up with this brilliant plan. Once I've been awake for more than five minutes, I'm sure I'll start to see flaws in the plan.

ETA: coleman_genie is awesome, and stage 1 of the plan is going into effect. Muahahahahaha. Now, to find the tree stand.

ETA2: Tree stand located, cloth laid down and water put into jugs in anticipation of a tree.

That Christmas spirit? I'm starting to feel it.

The tree is home and ready to be decorated. We (coleman_genie, Eric and myself) set it up, and then went out for lunch. I came home, walked in to that full balsam scent, and yeah. It smells like Christmas. :)

Returned mom's call. She asked what I was doing tonight, and I reminded her of the uofw_anthro club holiday party. She was sad, and said that we'd go tomorrow to pick up a tree. I put on my sad voice and said, "yeah, that sounds... okay."

As long as she doesn't feel guilty and get a tree in some bizarre Gifts of the Magi type coincidence.
