I got nearly 10 hours of sleep last night. I'm positively chipper this morning.

Today I will:

• type up my phonetic transcription of Ann Coulter


• translate the last of Beowulf


• finish my Old English readings (including Tolkiens "Beowulf: the Monsters and the Critics <3)


• start cohesion and rhetoric assignments (both overdue by now)


• try to study History of Linguistics

I've been translating Beowulf for 3 hours now. My eyes just feel wonky. Arrgh.

I'm roughly more than half done. Stupid Beowulf.

Anyone want to go see a movie this week?

Fellow anthro association girls: you know how I took the key home with me, because Linda's on vacation this week? I kinda left it in my pocket when I did laundry today. The key is fine, obviously, but we're going to need a new envelope.

ETA: Dude! Closer is playing at the Base theatre this weekend. I may get to see it after all.

I'm very happy right now. Except I still have many pages of Beowulf to translate. Stupid Beowulf.

I give up on Beowulf for tonight. I've been at this since about 2 this afternoon, taking the occaisional break, and I'm only about 5/7ths done. My eyes are wonky.

I'm going to talk with the others in my class, surely it shouldn't be taking me this long to translate.
