Ooof. While taking a break from odoing chores, I watched the first easter egg on the RotK dvds. And promptly hurt myself laughing.
I'm taking perverse pleasure from the fact that I'm the first person to take The Battle of Mogadishu: First Hand Accounts from the Men of Task Force Ranger from the library. At the same time as Sharpe's Gold and very soon Horatio Hornblower: The New Adventures. Interesting choices for a lefty peacenik.
I'm actually really interested in reading Sharpe's Gold, andseeing the differences between it and the movie version because the movie was just. So.Bad.

In other less depressing news, I can't figure out howto get some of the IPA symbols into myword document, specifically the thorn. Aaarg.

Mom: *watches Jamie make mayonnaise fora lobster clubhouse sandwich* This seems needlessly complicated.
Me: I can do that!
Mom: Okay, you're making dinner tomorrow.

I just watched this other cooking show, and they were making omelettes. I learned that what I've been calling omelettes are in fact fritattas. I make awesome omelette/frittatas, but they had awesome ideas for fillings. I'm excited for my next time cooking for others. I really wish I could eat eggs.
