Done transcribing. Wow, that was kind of anti-climatic.

Xrazy-ass dreams again. This time involving a boy scout choir, babies in a musical, Wales, a bunker with time travelling capabilities and NHL players.

But not Captain Jack Harkness or Ninth or Tenth Doctor. Damn.

Woke up just now, and saw an email from my professor/supervisor telling me that I'm doing a good job. N'awwww.

Mmm. Breakfast. I can't think of anything better than cottage cheese and chopped nectarines at the moment. Oooh! And tea. Mmmm.

Arrgh. THis tape I've been freaking out over not having transcribe yet? Has about ten minutes of Cree on it, and then the rest is recorded to quietly to be transcribed.

Arrgh, I need to calm the fuck down. Watch, the last tape will be the full 90 minutes long, in cree and english, with noisy kids in the background and the TV on, making it even harder to hear.

Probably not, but damn. I'm so close to being done, and it's frustrating. I wish I spoke the language so that I could actually transcribe what's on this tape.

New header and back to the default colours (omg, so pretty/sad) and newish icons.

And no transcribing done yet. Fuck.

Yaye knitting icon!

I have two tapes left to do before Tuesday. I can do this. As long as I don't get distracted by reading the last bit of Excalibur, or watching the last five episodes of Dr Who, or making scones or...

dammit. I can do this.

Yaye! Another tape done. Only 3 more to do.

But this one says on the side that half of it is too quiet. Cripes. I hope this is going to go better than the last couple.

On the plus side, I finally finished a tape! It's been about a week since I finished one before this. Yaye, back in the groove of actually doing work-type things.

Taking a break from transcribing (finished THE TAPE OF DOOM, and have started a hopefully much shorter tape), and I redid the colours on my journal.

Yes, I realize that they're the mocha colours, but I had to figure out how to do it with the header. And I did it and I'm happy and I'm clinging to this small victory for today.

Omg, I want to read so much. I'm working on Jingo, then Excalibur (omg Derfel, marry me!) and then Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell and oh. SOme book coming out on Saturday called Harry Potter (which I'm finally getting excited for, thank god. I was worried about my fannish heart being broken or something.)

I'm determined to make myself be in aa better mood. Keep working and then I'll have a dinner of fish and chips or something, and then strawberries and cottage cheese for dessert.

Dinner! Of! Champions!

Oh man, I'm getting weird. Help. Send pretty pikshurs.

Also, I made myself a linguistics icon. This one is much more of a prescriptivists icon, but the longer animated one I want is essentially descriptivists, with the added bonus of swarming bloodshed perpetrated by prescriptivist ninnies.

... oh god, someone send me help.

My job: I'm transcribing tapes for a study on the acquisition of Cree, and the effects it's having on families. I get to stay at home and type (in my pajamas) and I think I'm being overpaid to do so, but I'm not going to tell them that. :)

It's rough hearing people talking about the effects that residential schools had on their families. I 've only done one tape so far- apparently it gets worse on one of the tapes. I'm a little worried about getting to the really rough stuff.

At least his will keep me busy and out of trouble. And hopefully pay for school. :)

To celebrate my new job, I bought myself a Foot Soldier with War Hammer. I have christened him Dagonet.

I love all of the Schleich knights figures. I've been eyeing them for the past year and a bit; I finally caved.

"It's Jonasson, you cock!"

So, it looks like I may be employed (reasonably well) for the rest of the summer.

I kind of feel like shit for saying it, but I seem to have a habit of just falling into jobs. *knocks furiously on wood*

Also, I love the feeling of going to talk with my favourite teacher, and he seems genuinely happy to see me. *beams*

My horoscope was right, today was a good day to do networking.

I just updated my resume, and overhauled parts of it. Would anybody care to look at it, and let me know what else to change?

I really have no idea what my resume should contain. For pretty much every job I've ever had I wasn't hired based on my resume, but for other reasons.
