"Oh! The beaver! What were we thinking?!"

Six random facts about me:

1. I have green eyes, but have always had a large splotch of brown in my left eye. Lately though it's gotten larger, and I'm getting a ring of brown in my right eye.

2. The first course I ever failed was Myth, Magic and Shamanism. I wrote the final exam and all, but somehow freaked out and didn't had in my final paper. I'm still not sure exactly why that was. The second course I failed was Origins of Human Culture, and that's only because once I finally gave up and admitted that it was way too far beyond my abilities, it was three days past the final drop date. I can be a stubborn ass about these things.

3. When I was ten my mom was pregnant, but had a miscarriage sometime past the mid point. It was at the Albertville Olympics- I know because I remember being at my cousin Christine's apartment for a sleepover and we were watching the opening ceremonies when she got a call. My mom had started to bleed out and it didn't stop so she had to go in to the hospital until the next day.

4. I have scars: one on my upper right arm from having a cyst removed when I was five, a small scar on my face from someone's fingernail during a game of tag in girl guides, a scar on my left knee from slipping on ice while running for the bus, one above my eyebrow from a "jade" cat when I was learning to walk and one of unknown origin on my right palm (under the thumb).

5. I still have my dad's ashes. They're sitting in a box in the closet- we don't really know what to do with them any more.

6. One of my favourite foods is lemon steamed asparagus. Part of it is the taste, part of it is the fact that I learned how to cook it after watching someone else do it once, and then adapting the recipe. Also the fact that mom (and other people) have said that it's actually the only time they've ever enjoyed eating asparagus- I take pride in that.

I think my favourite part was how, in the last scene, you could see wheels.

"No Jacques, let that one go. He has spirit, he may one day be Vice President!" or however it actually goes.

Oh! It wasn't a real cat. My grandparents had a set of "jade" (painted ceramic) cats with pointy ears. I was just learning to walk when I fell head-first into one, and sliced my head open.

that is awesome. I want a wheeled city canoe. except when I sing the song, I will pronounce it "je te plumerais", not "gentil plumerais", like most people (sorry, pet peeve)

I KNOW THAT MAKES NO SENSE!

I relived a memory of that time with your mom a while back. I remembered excitedly asking her whether she wanted to have a boy or girl, and she gently shrugged off the question. And when I got home, my mom told me what had happened, and I felt so sad for her. It just popped into my head the other day.... odd.

I have a scar from Cakey (the Second, I think) on my hand.... oh, Cakey. :P

Cakey II was an evil hell-beast. I remember being confused by that, since Cakey I was sweet as pie.

Of course the good one got run over by a parade. It sounds funny, but OH MY GOD THE PSYCHOLOGICAL TRAUMA.

We should do tea soon.
