My RL friends will be pleased to learn that I renewed my beginners license today. Woo? I also bought a new pair of pants and a pair of jeans. They're lovely- I might show them off at school tomorrow.

But today was a bad day to go clothes shopping, as overall it was a bad body image day. *sigh* So I made it better by having Ben and Jerry's and napping for 3 hours. *ahem* I suck.

I woke up bright-eyed and ready to take on the world this morning. I meant to get stuff done. I got a little bit done then mom said "Let's go get stuff done." And then I really didn't. Well, I did (bank, driver's license, pants) but nothing important (ie, schoolwork or project proposal stuff).

And tonight's House pissed me the hell off. Well, not the episode itself, but fucking Chase. I used to I like him, but fucking Chase and fucking "if she would get off the couch and stop stuffing her face". Fucking Chase. The girl would spend her recess running laps, ate well... she had a fucking brain tumor. Fucking Chase.

Agreed, re: "House"! I was so put off. I was bigger than that girl in elementary school, apparently I should have just killed myself.

Thank you. I was pretty sure that it wasn't just because I've been touchy about this today. It's just...ARRGH. Yes, North Americans are fat. That doesn't mean you go "oh, she's fat so she's depressed, look at her mom." Arrgh. &(@!^($

Also, while it's awesome she's working and everything, I was sad to see Cynthia Ettinger in this episode (she played the girl's mother), because she and her character Rita Sue on "Carnivàle" are my most frequently used examples of size-positivity on t.v. Never in two seasons of that show has it ever been suggested that she's anything but extremely sexy and desirable, and no negativity towards her weight has ever been mentioned or even hinted at. (There are two other female characters who are both "heavy" by t.v. standards, and ditto for them as well. It's an awesome show. Fucking Chase! He's made me all rant-y. *g*)

Fucking Chase. Just....*rage!*

I wish that... man, I've only been watching really, for 3 episodes, so names are a little sketchy at times. The other guy. I wish he had laid the smackdown on him, because (as Chase himself pointed out) Cameron isn't really going to make the point effectively to Chase. If anyone could.

Fucking Chase.

Okay, I missed the episode, but... the previous one ended with House having to fire someone, right? Did he? I thought that was the deal. Maybe I was wrong.

I hope they re-run this so that I can be enraged at Chase too! Sounds like he was a prick.
